Biography

Inna Shafarenko was a dedicated translator whose linguistic expertise and cultural sensitivity bridged languages and literatures. Born in 1918, she worked tirelessly to convey meaning and nuance across linguistic boundaries, facilitating cultural exchange and understanding.

Shafarenko's contributions to translation enriched the literary world and fostered connections between different cultures and traditions. She lived until 1999, witnessing the evolution of her field across the latter half of the twentieth century. She was laid to rest in the Cemetery in Komarovo.
