Biography
Isaac Blazer, born in 1837, was a rabbi whose insistence on rigorous study encouraged whole families to gather around the Torah. He believed that learning and kindness were inseparable, and he cultivated both in his community.
By the time of his passing in 1907, his legacy could be seen in the students who continued his lessons, and the Mount of Olives Jewish Cemetery holds his memory among the faithful he once guided.
