Biography
Isaac E. Messmore, born in 1821, was a legal professional whose calm judgment and integrity earned him respect across Southern California. He steadfastly endeavored to ensure that justice was administered fairly and that the rule of law supported the growth of a healthy civic life.
Outside the courtroom, he sustained charitable efforts and offered mentorship to young lawyers, always mindful that service to others is the hallmark of a responsible citizen. He now rests in Angelus-Rosedale Cemetery, leaving behind a legacy of principle and kindness.
