Isaac Rapp
1854–1933 (age 79)
Biography
Isaac Rapp earned a reputation as the architect of the American Southwest, blending Pueblo, Mission, and Gothic influences into spaces that felt rooted in the land and respectful of local traditions. His firm produced libraries, courthouses, and homes that conveyed dignity while using native materials and craftsmanship.
Through apprentices he trained and buildings that still grace city centers, his commitment to place endures, and he rests in Masonic Cemetery, where visitors can remember a designer whose vision gave the region a new architectural identity.
