Biography

Isadore Hagenbuck organized entertainments that helped unite island residents of diverse backgrounds, bringing music, dance and shared celebration to neighborhoods in Honolulu during an era of rapid change.

He believed that gathering communities for joy and wonder was a form of service itself, a devotion remembered by family and friends as he lies at Mount Hope Cemetery.
