Isidore Okpewho

Biography

Isidore Okpewho was a distinguished Nigerian-American writer and scholar whose literary works explored themes of African identity, history, and culture. Born in 1941, he became a prominent figure in African literature, contributing significantly to the understanding of African oral traditions and their influence on contemporary writing.

Throughout his career, Okpewho held academic positions and published numerous novels and critical works that bridged African and American literary traditions.
