Israel Pickens

Israel Pickens (1780–1827) was an American politician who served his country and community during the early 19th century. He was active in public service during a period of national growth and development following American independence.

Pickens's political career reflected his commitment to public service and his involvement in the governance of his community. His legacy is preserved in the historical record of his time and in Greensboro Cemetery where he is interred.
