István Báthory

Biography

István Báthory (1835–1901) was a distinguished Hungarian gynecologist who made significant contributions to obstetric medicine during the latter half of the 19th century. His medical practice and research advanced the understanding and treatment of women's health in Hungary during a transformative period for the medical profession.

Báthory's legacy is preserved at the Fiume Road Graveyard, where he was laid to rest following his death in 1901. He is remembered as a dedicated physician whose work reflected the professional standards and compassionate care that defined his medical career.
