Biography

István Csillag was a distinguished Hungarian writer whose literary contributions enriched Hungarian cultural life during the mid-twentieth century. Born in 1922, he developed his craft during a period of significant social and political change in Hungary.

Csillag's work as a writer reflected the intellectual currents of his time, and he remained engaged with Hungarian letters throughout his career until his death in 1978. His literary legacy continues to be part of Hungary's cultural heritage. He was interred at Farkasréti Cemetery in Budapest.
