Biography
Born in 1870, Ivan Erdélyi rose through the ranks of the Imperial Russian Army, earning respect for his steady leadership and for looking after the welfare of his troops amid the turbulent final decades of the empire.
In exile he remained committed to the ideals of service, supporting fellow veterans and preserving the traditions of the professional officer corps before being laid to rest at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois Russian Cemetery.
