Biography

Born during the final years of Ottoman rule, Ivan Stoyanoviç devoted his life to the Bulgarian revolutionary cause, taking part in the circles that kept the dream of independence alive and lending his strength to the campaigns that would free his homeland.

In later years he remained a respected voice among veterans, sharing stories of sacrifice with younger generations and helping preserve the memory of their struggle as Sofia grew into the capital of a sovereign nation.
