Biography

Ivan Timofeevitsj Oestinov (1922–1952) was a young man whose life was lived during the post-war Soviet period. He came of age during the reconstruction era following World War II, a time of rebuilding and development.

Based in Mednogorsk, Oestinov's brief life was part of the generation shaped by the experiences of war and its aftermath. He represents those whose lives were intertwined with the historical developments of mid-twentieth century Russia.
