Ivar Thomé

Biography

Ivar Thomé approached architecture with an attention to both form and the needs of everyday Finns, leaving behind designs that blended civic pride with practicality. His projects helped give emerging neighborhoods a sense of order and beauty.

He remained committed to shaping the built environment even as the city around him shifted, and he is honored in Hietaniemi Cemetery for the thoughtful structures he helped bring into being.
