Physician/Surgeon
Biography
J. William White was a distinguished physician and surgeon whose practice and teaching at institutions near The Woodlands advanced surgical technique and raised standards of care; his colleagues admired him for keeping the suffering farmer, laborer and neighbor at the center of every decision.
In his laboratories, clinics and lecture halls he embodied a belief that medicine is both science and service, and even now the halls remember the patience and clarity with which he guided young physicians.
