Biography
Jack Cohen founded Tesco from humble market stalls, growing it into a national chain while remaining true to his belief in fair prices and customer care. He was a hands-on leader who valued the staff who helped build the business and encouraged many to embrace new opportunities.
Beyond commerce he supported charitable causes that strengthened local Jewish communities and wider social welfare. He rests at Willesden Jewish Cemetery, where visitors recall not only a successful entrepreneur but a generous spirit.
