Biography
Jackie Jensen, a native of California, became one of baseball’s most dynamic outfielders after breaking into the big leagues, winning the American League MVP award in 1958 and earning multiple All-Star selections with the Boston Red Sox and later the Washington Senators.
After stepping away from baseball he built a successful career in advertising, remained active in charitable efforts, and is remembered fondly by family and fans as he rests at Amherst Cemetery.
