Biography

Jacob Beltzhoover was a landowner whose property holdings and stewardship contributed to the development of the Allegheny region during the early nineteenth century. His life spanned the period of westward expansion and the establishment of settlements in western Pennsylvania.

Beltzhoover's legacy is preserved at Allegheny Cemetery, where he was interred following his death in 1835 at an advanced age.
