Jacob Tyson

Biography

Jacob Tyson was born in 1773 and lived through the American Revolution and the founding of the nation. He established himself as a member of the Reformed Church community on Staten Island, where he maintained his faith and family ties throughout his life.

Tyson died in 1848 at the age of 75 and was buried in the Reformed Church on Staten Island Cemetery. His long life encompassed the Revolutionary era and the early decades of the American republic, and he is remembered as a faithful member of his faith community.
