Biography

Jacobus Westland was a courageous Dutch resistance fighter who risked his life to oppose Nazi occupation during World War II. Born in 1902, he embodied the spirit of resistance and defiance against tyranny, working clandestinely to undermine the occupying forces and protect his fellow citizens.

Westland's heroic efforts came at great personal cost when he was killed in 1944. He is remembered at the Jewish cemetery in Wageningen as a righteous individual who stood against injustice and fought for freedom, leaving a legacy of courage and moral conviction.
