Biography

Jacques Chevalier taught philosophy with a rare patience, introducing generations of students to classical thought while insisting that reason must remain in dialogue with the sacred.

In Cérilly he continued writing essays that sought a humane center for the Republic, encouraging young scholars to live their convictions rather than merely argue them.
