Jacques Hilling
1922–1975 (age 53)
Biography
Jacques Hilling claimed the Parisian stage with a voice that captured wit and warmth, moving fluidly between classical repertoire and contemporary plays.
He also took time to mentor emerging performers and to place his efforts at the service of charitable evenings, so that when he was laid to rest at Père Lachaise Cemetery, colleagues spoke of a luminous collaborator who never burned out.
