Biography

Jakub Jecheskel Levy (1814–1854) was a respected rabbi who served the Jewish community during the 19th century. As a religious leader, he played an important role in maintaining Jewish traditions and providing spiritual guidance to his congregation during a period of significant social change.

Rabbi Levy was interred in the old Jewish cemetery in Bytom, a sacred burial ground that served the Jewish community of this important industrial city in Silesia. His resting place reflects his dedication to his faith and his contributions to the spiritual life of the community he served.
