Biography

Jakub Jeřábek (1895–1975) was a Czech individual whose exceptionally long life spanned from the Austro-Hungarian Empire through the entire twentieth-century history of Czechoslovakia. He witnessed the nation's independence, the interwar period, World War II, and the establishment of communist rule.

Jeřábek's remarkable lifespan allowed him to observe the complete transformation of his nation and society across multiple generations. He was laid to rest at Brno Central Cemetery, where his memory is honored as a link to earlier eras of Czech history.
