James A. Van Dyke

Biography

James A. Van Dyke (1813–1855) lived during the mid-nineteenth century, a time of significant change and growth in America. He was part of a generation that shaped the nation's expanding communities and institutions.

Van Dyke's life, though relatively brief at forty-two years, was spent in service to his family and community. He was interred in Mount Elliott Cemetery, where he is remembered.
