James Baker

Biography

James Baker was a stockperson who dedicated his working life to pastoral pursuits in nineteenth-century Australia. Born in 1837, he spent his years engaged in the demanding work of livestock management, contributing to the agricultural development of the colonial economy.

Baker's life concluded in 1888, and he was interred at Buangor Cemetery, where he rests among the community he served. His occupation reflected the vital role that pastoral workers played in establishing Australia's rural heritage.
