James C. Cochrane

Biography

James C. Cochrane, born in 1824, was known among friends as a steady, dependable figure whose insight and steady hand were valued in his community. Though detailed accounts of his work are scarce, his reputation reflected a life lived with honesty and care for others.

He passed in 1881 and was laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, where his memory joins those of other quietly influential residents of Rochester.
