Biography

James Curtis Booth (1810–1888) was a chemist of deep curiosity whose careful study of metals and minerals helped build a stronger foundation for American science in his era.

He mentored younger colleagues with patience and ensured that his work reflected both rigor and kindness; his spirit is now remembered at the Church of the Redeemer Cemetery.
