James Hall brought craft and ambition to the shipyards of Macduff, shaping vessels that bore fishing communities and traders safely across the northern seas.

In Macduff Parish Church and its churchyard the gratitude of many can still be felt for the diligence with which he pursued his trade and the steadfast way in which he supported the lives of those who depended upon it.
