Biography

James J. Davis emigrated from Wales and rose to national prominence through his work with labor groups, eventually serving as Secretary of Labor before being elected to the United States Senate from Pennsylvania.

During his long tenure in Washington he championed immigrant families and workers, and he is interred at Union Dale Cemetery where his contributions to public service are remembered.
