James Jones

Biography

James Jones was born in 1811 and lived a brief life during the height of British colonial expansion in India. He came of age during a period of significant change and development in Calcutta, where the British presence was becoming increasingly established and influential.

Jones died in 1829 at the age of eighteen, his life tragically cut short in his youth. He was buried at South Park Street Cemetery, where he rests among the many individuals whose lives were intertwined with the colonial experience in India.
