James L. Pugh

Biography

James L. Pugh, born in 1820, was respected for his thoughtful leadership and the dignity with which he carried himself in every endeavor. He cultivated lasting friendships through his willingness to listen, guide, and provide support when others faced challenges.

After his death in 1907, the light of his example continued to guide the community, and he was laid to rest with gratitude at Fairview Cemetery.
