Biography

James M. Collins (1916-1989) represented north Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives with a focus on economic development and infrastructure investment. He worked to strengthen transportation networks and support the small businesses that were the backbone of his district.

He also prioritized accessible education and job training, visiting classrooms and community colleges to stay connected to the needs of students and workers. Restland Memorial Park became his final resting place, where others remember his steady advocacy for Texas families.
