Biography

James Pindall studied law in Virginia, became a commonwealth attorney, and rode the wave of post-war growth to represent his district in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he advocated for western Virginians and for cautious investment in roads and canals.

When he returned home he resumed his legal practice, mentored younger lawyers, and remained a quiet but reliable voice for good government in the area now served by Daniel Davisson DAR Cemetery.
