James Vote Bomford

Biography

James Vote Bomford (1811–1892) served his nation with resolve, his life spanning both peaceful moments and turbulent service in the military and government. He carried the responsibilities of leadership with humility and a commitment to those who depended on him.

After years of duty, he turned his experience toward easing the burdens of veterans and their families, promoting comfort and understanding wherever he could. His final rest is honored at Evergreen Cemetery.
