James Ward

Biography

James Ward, born in 1858, was a compassionate presence in Mattapan, balancing hard work with kindness toward those around him.

He believed in the dignity of every neighbor's story and, when he died in 1901, the community remembered him for the thoughtful care he poured into both family and friends.
