Biography

James Windsor Lewis was born in 1877 and came of age during a period of growing international tension. He answered the call to service when his country needed him most during the First World War.

Lewis made the ultimate sacrifice in 1916, giving his life for his nation. He was laid to rest at Brandhoek Military Cemetery, where his memory is honored among the many who fell during the Great War.
