Biography
James Yoxall championed teachers' rights as a Liberal politician who represented Nottingham West at the turn of the century and drew upon his experience as a unionist to influence national education policy.
He remained a respected voice for schooling and democratic representation until his death in 1925, and his cremation at Golders Green Crematorium marked the close of a lifelong commitment to public service.
