Biography

Jamshid Nakhchivanski was a Soviet military officer who served in the Red Army during the early decades of the Soviet state. Born in 1895, he was part of the generation of military professionals who built the foundations of Soviet military power.

Nakhchivanski was executed at the Kommunarka shooting ground in 1938 during the Great Purge. His death was among the thousands of military officers who were eliminated during Stalin's campaign to consolidate power.
