Biography

Jan Anastáz Opasek was a Czech writer whose literary contributions spanned much of the twentieth century. Born in 1913, he devoted his career to the written word, leaving behind a legacy of works that reflected the cultural landscape of his era.

Opasek's life and work were rooted in Czech literary tradition, and he remained an active voice in his field until his death in 1999. He was laid to rest in Břevnov cemetery, where his memory is preserved among the notable figures of Czech cultural history.
