Biography

Jan Blahoslav Kozák (1888–1974) was a Czech writer who contributed to the literary culture of his nation during a transformative period. Born in the final years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, he witnessed and documented the creation of the Czechoslovak state and the subsequent decades of the twentieth century through his literary work.
