Biography

Jan Bytnar was a courageous Polish resistance fighter who fought against Nazi occupation during World War II. Born in 1921, he was part of the underground movement that resisted German rule and worked to protect Polish sovereignty and citizens during the war.

Bytnar's commitment to freedom and his brave actions in the resistance movement cost him his life in 1943. He is honored at Powązki Military Cemetery, where his grave stands as a memorial to the sacrifice of those who fought for Poland's liberation.
