Biography

Jan Kuźnar was a Polish officer who served his nation during the interwar period and the early years of World War II. Born in 1893, he was part of the generation that worked to build and sustain Poland's military institutions during a time of significant political and social change in Europe.

His life was ended in 1940 during the Soviet persecution of Polish military personnel and leadership. Kuźnar is commemorated at the Katyn Polish War Cemetery, where his memory stands among thousands of others who lost their lives during this dark period of Polish history.
