Biography

Jan Mottl was a dedicated Czech Catholic priest who served his faith and community throughout his long life. Born in 1881, Mottl devoted himself to the spiritual guidance and pastoral care of the faithful in the Sušice region during a period of significant religious and social change.

As a Catholic priest, Mottl provided sacraments, counsel, and spiritual leadership to his parishioners through the tumultuous events of the twentieth century, including two world wars and the transformation of Czech society. He died in 1945 and was laid to rest in the City cemetery in Sušice, honored for his decades of faithful service to the Church and his community.
