Biography
Jan Novotný was born in 1896 and died in 1963, living through the dramatic transformations of the twentieth century in Central Europe. His life encompassed the final years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the creation of Czechoslovakia, and the subsequent communist era.
He was laid to rest in the hřbitov Moravská Třebová, where his memory is preserved in his native region.
