Biography
Jan Pergl was born in 1891 and came of age during the final decades of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His youth coincided with a period of increasing national awareness and cultural development in the Czech lands.
He died in 1917 during the Great War and was laid to rest in Olšany Cemetery, where he remains a testament to those who lived through one of history's most consequential periods.
