Biography

Jan Scipio del Campo was a dedicated librarian who served the cultural and intellectual needs of Polish society during the 19th century. Born in 1801, he worked to preserve and organize knowledge during a period of significant social and political transformation.

Del Campo's professional commitment to library science and the preservation of literary and historical materials contributed to Polish cultural institutions. His career spanned much of the century, and he remained active in his professional duties until his death in 1890, being interred at Rakowicki Cemetery in recognition of his service to Polish learning.
