Jan Świercz (1888–1973) was a Polish figure whose life spanned nearly nine decades of his nation's tumultuous twentieth century. Born in the late Austro-Hungarian period, he witnessed Poland's independence, its interwar development, and the profound transformations of the post-war era.

Świercz's legacy endures in the memory of those who knew him and in the historical record of his time. He was laid to rest in Rakowicki Cemetery, one of Kraków's most significant burial grounds, where many notable Poles are commemorated.
