Biography

Jan Winkler (1794–1874) was a composer whose musical talents contributed to the cultural life of his time. As a creator of musical compositions, he participated in the rich artistic traditions of Central Europe during the nineteenth century, leaving behind works that reflected the musical sensibilities of his era.

Winkler's dedication to composition demonstrated his passion for music and his desire to express himself through this noble art form. He was interred in the Evangelical cemetery in Návsí following his death in 1874, remembered as a contributor to the musical heritage of his community.
