Biography

Jane Bowles was an American writer born in 1917 whose innovative and experimental work earned her recognition as a significant literary figure of the twentieth century. Her distinctive voice and unconventional narratives challenged literary conventions and influenced generations of writers who followed.

Bowles spent much of her creative life in Tangier and other international settings, where she developed her unique literary style.
