Biography
Jane Franklin (1791–1875) was an English woman of remarkable spirit and intellectual curiosity, best known for her connection to Arctic exploration. Though she did not herself undertake expeditions, she was deeply engaged with the world of exploration and discovery, supporting and promoting the advancement of geographical knowledge.
Franklin was a woman of influence and determination who left her mark on the nineteenth century. Her life and legacy were honored with burial at Kensal Green Cemetery, a fitting tribute to her significance.
